As we approach the tenth anniversary of the attacks of September 11, we all undoubtedly remember where we were on that tragic fall day.

This week, the Malavé on the Media blog is dedicated to those who lost their lives ten years ago in NYC, Washington, DC and Shanksville, PA;  along with the heroes: FDNY, NYPD, Port Authority Police, the National Guard and average citizens who helped each other in one of our nation’sdarkest hours.

We remember the spirit of Hope that emerged in the days and weeks after the attacks and the leadership of people like New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

Over the next few days, a flood of graphic images will fill our computer and television screens once again. Most media organizations are producing special reports on the anniversary with a focus on how life has changed in the decade after 9/11.
